
Kids News Workshop + Exhibition Visit at ACMI in Melbourne

In this on site workshop at ACMI, Years 5-6 students will create news segments on the green screen to develop their news reporting and interview skills. Students will also learn about the technology behind digital backgrounds and the role of a responsible reporter.
Students will:
- work in small groups to deliver their own news program
- develop reporting and interview skills
- consider the difference between primary and secondary sources
- understand the ethical responsibilities of a reporter
- gain insight into how green screens are used
- have their news segmented recorded and edited by ACMI staff

Important information:
This program can accommodate two classes (up to 56 students) in the one full-day program . The cost is $990 for a class of up to 56 students. This ongoing program can be booked in Monday to Thursday during school terms.
