Explore the power of cinema, storytelling, language and culture

August 8 - August 24

This on site program at ACMI is built around the Melbourne International Film Festival. The program aims to enhance students’ cinema and language learnings’ cinema and language learning, intercultural understanding and media-analysis skills. The program has been curated to address the Victorian Curriculum through the Arts, Humanities, Science and Languages learning areas. Themes and issues build Critical and Creative Thinking, Ethical Understanding, Intercultural Understanding, and Personal and Social capabilities.

The program features free professional learning webinars delivered by MIFF’s film-analysis expert, Dr Josh Nelson, to give teachers additional resources, strategies and ideas for how to best incorporate a screening of a MIFF Schools film into their students’ classroom-based learning.
