The Matter of Facts National Library Workshops
This week AMLA members ABC Education, ALIA and Western Sydney University supported the launch event for a series of 20+ library workshops being rolled out across Australia to support Australians to verify information online .
The workshops are designed around the fantastic new ABC series, The Matter of Facts. The launch event and premiere workshop was hosted by Parramatta Phive library in the heart of Sydney.
ABC journalist Hamish Macdonald, Executive Producer and series presenter for The Matter of Facts, provided an opening address alongside Kim Williams, ABC Chair and Cathie Warburton, CEO, Australian Library and Information Association.
All of the speakers discussed the vital role libraries play in helping Australians navigate complex online environments.
