AMLA to be represented at G20 in Brazil

Associate Professor Tanya Notley from Western Sydney University will represent AMLA at the G20 event organised by its Digital Economy Working Group.

The important event entitled “Promoting information integrity: combating disinformation, hate speech and threats to public institutions online” includes a series of panel session with experts from around the world.

Associate Professor Notley will join the panel “Protecting children and adolescents online and Media Education initiatives” and will be joined by representatives from Brazil, Kenya, UNESCO and the EU.

AMLA looks forwards to the fruits of the discussion which will no doubt reflect the global importance of media literacy for all.
