Explore Media Literacy with Kate and Jol Temple (for students)

Join the Museum of Australian Democracy as they connect with superstar authors of the Bin Chicken series and Frog Squad Kate and Jol Temple! Students will explore a variety of  media literacy examples featured in Kate and Jol’s engaging books.

AUDIENCE: This free online event is for Stage 2, 3 and 4 students.

ACTIVITY OUTLINE: Students will have the opportunity to hear Kate and Jol read from their books and explore links to media literacy. We will take a closer look at, and critically reflect on examples of advertising, social media posts and news reports within their texts. Students will also have an opportunity to participate in a live Q&A session.

SPECIAL GUESTS: Kate and Jol Temple have written over 26 books for kids from their bestselling Bin Chicken series to  their International Jr Fiction dog detective series, The Underdogs, and oKate’s own middle grade novel, The Dangerous Business of Being Trilby Moffat.
