AMLA approved as Australia’s Chapter of the UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Alliance
The Australian Media Literacy Alliance (AMLA) has been approved by the Global Board of the UNESCO Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Alliance to establish Australia’s first Chapter of the global network.
The UNESCO MIL Alliance is a global community of members working together to advance media and information literacy. As a Chapter, AMLA will bring members together around shared priorities, develop joint activities, exchange knowledge and resources, and build connections with other Chapters and members across the world.
Chair of AMLA, Dr Michael Dezuanni said: “AMLA is honoured to have been selected by the UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Alliance to lead the Australian chapter of its extensive network of organisations and media literacy experts. AMLA’s leadership of the chapter will enable Australians interested in and committed to Media Literacy to connect with the wealth of experience and expertise of UNESCO’s global partners.”
